Paradise Found – Back From The Dead Episode 010 (2nd September 2004)

This show was the first of my official demo mixes. Never being one to do things by half and having been informed by my writing tutors years before that I’m kind of long-winded, I choose to make my demo CD’s in doubles. That is, to say, a mix of just under 2 hours and 40 minutes, occasionally with one final tune on the end for the download that doesn’t make it onto the CD.

Intentionally or not, the general idea was for CD1 to be a warm up and CD2 to be the peak time, but as I record the demos as one long mix, you have to kind of do it all gradually. This was my first attempt, I like to think that the practice of doing the demos helped me to improve further down the line 🙂

Paradise Found - Front Cover

The title for this one – “Paradise Found” – is an obvious play on words with Milton’s “Paradise Lost”, but it was also the title of an old tune I like by The Beloved. Unlike some of the later demo titles, which reflect things that were happening in my life at the time, this one genuinely has nothing to do with anything really, other than I thought it to be a nice title.
